The following school closings and delays are for Monday, February 16. Click here for local business closings and delays.
- Alabama A&M University – Alabama A&M University will delay opening Monday to 10 a.m. because of the possibility of freezing rain early in the morning.
- Athens State University – Closing at 6:00 pm tonight
- Boaz City Schools – Classes are cancelled for Boaz City Schools on Monday
- Calhoun Community College – Closing at 6:45 pm on Monday
- Cullman City Schools – 12-month employees report at 9am. Students and teachers have a holiday today.
- Cullman County Schools – Schools will delay opening 2 hours on Monday.
- Drake State Technical College- 2 hour delay for Monday.
- Faulkner University in Huntsville: Evening Classes are cancelled
- Greengate School – Delayed 2 hours
- Huntsville City Schools – Huntsville City Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay due to possible wintry hazardous travel conditions. Buses will run on a two hour delayed schedule. School facilities and classes will start at 10:00 a.m. School officials say the delay applies to all students, staff and employees, with the exception of key operations staff who will receive direction from their direct supervisor. In addition, all after-school and evening activities for Monday are cancelled.
- Lawrence County Schools – 2 hour delay.
- Lincoln County, TN Schools – Closed Monday.
- Northwest Shoals Community College – Opening at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
- Motlow College, Fayetteville – Closed Monday.
- Muscle Shoals City Schools – Faculty meeting planned for Monday is canceled. Schools were already closed for President’s Day.
- Oakwood University – Open at 10 AM. Evening activities, including traditional and LEAP programs, are closed after 5:30. PM.
- University of Alabama in Huntsville – Evening classes are cancelled. Tuesday classes begin at 11:10 am.
- UAB Campus/Huntsville – delayed until 10:30 a.m. Monday.
- University of North Alabama and Kilby Lab School – Closing at 3 p.m. Monday
- Valley Fellowship Christian Academy- 2 hour delay.
- Virginia College – Staff report at 9 a.m. Students report at 10 a.m.
- Whitesburg Christian Academy – 2 hour delay.
- YMCA of the Shoals in Florence: Closing today at 5 pm, reopening tomorrow at 10 a.m.
